At Forge Hill Orchards, visitors can enjoy the delightful experience of picking your own cherries. This interactive activity allows you to select the ripest cherries directly from the trees, ensuring freshness and flavor. Whether you're looking for a fun family outing or a unique way to enjoy nature, Forge Hill Orchards provides the perfect setting for cherry picking enthusiasts.
It is a large black, sweet cherry. Ripens beginning of July usually a week after Bing. Although most sweet cherries require a pollinator, Blackgold does not need a pollinator. It is a good pollinator, however, for other varieties like Sam and Emperor Francis.
This cherry variety delivers a distinct sweet cherry flavor with notes of honey and a delightful splash of tanginess. It’s perfect for fresh eating and adds a delicious topping to ice cream.

White Gold cherries offer a sweet, balanced flavor with hints of plum and a mild almond finish, similar to Rainier but often with more complexity, being less tart than red cherries, with light-colored flesh that's firm and juicy, making them great for fresh eating or canning.
