Black Gold

O

It is a large black, sweet cherry.  Ripens beginning of July usually a week after Bing.  Although most sweet cherries require a pollinator, Blackgold does not need a pollinator.  It is a good pollinator, however, for other varieties like Sam and Emperor Francis.

This cherry variety delivers a distinct sweet cherry flavor with notes of honey and a delightful splash of tanginess. It’s perfect for fresh eating and adds a delicious topping to ice cream.
